Bush Snow Job

John Kerry tells "Stuffed Suit White House Mouthpiece" to eat shit and die:

"Senator Kerry not only owes an apology to those who are serving, but also to the families of those who've given their lives in this,' White House press secretary Tony Snow said. 'This is an absolute insult.' ...

...'This is the classic GOP playbook,' Kerry said in a harshly worded statement. 'I'm sick and tired of these despicable Republican attacks that always seem to come from those who never can be found to serve in war, but love to attack those who did. I'm not going to be lectured by a stuffed suit White House mouthpiece standing behind a podium.'"

Kerry is a lame-ass, but a better American than any Republican.

Live Forever

The Amazing Ways Of Life: "Experts theorize that limited access to energy alarms the body, so to speak, activating a cascade of biochemical signals that tell each cell to direct energy away from reproductive functions, toward repair and maintenance. The calorie-restricted organism is stronger, according to this hypothesis, because individual cells are more efficiently repairing mutations, using energy, defending themselves and mopping up harmful byproducts like free radicals.

“The stressed cell is really pulling out all the stops” to preserve itself, said Dr. Cynthia Kenyon, a molecular biologist at the University of California, San Francisco."

Crime at the Polls

Glitches cited in early voting: "Debra A. Reed voted with her boss on Wednesday at African-American Research Library and Cultural Center near Fort Lauderdale. Her vote went smoothly, but boss Gary Rudolf called her over to look at what was happening on his machine. He touched the screen for gubernatorial candidate Jim Davis, a Democrat, but the review screen repeatedly registered the Republican, Charlie Crist.

That's exactly the kind of problem that sends conspiracy theorists into high gear -- especially in South Florida, where a history of problems at the polls have made voters particularly skittish.
A poll worker then helped Rudolf, but it took three tries to get it right, Reed said."

...unbelievable...

"Broward Supervisor of Elections spokeswoman Mary Cooney said it's not uncommon for screens on heavily used machines to slip out of sync, making votes register incorrectly. Poll workers are trained to recalibrate them on the spot -- essentially, to realign the video screen with the electronics inside. The 15-step process is outlined in the poll-workers manual.
''It is resolved right there at the early-voting site,'' Cooney said.

Broward poll workers keep a log of all maintenance done on machines at each site. But the Supervisor of Elections office doesn't see that log until the early voting period ends. And a machine isn't taken out of service unless the poll clerk decides it's a chronic poor performer that can't be fixed.

Cooney said no machines have been removed during early voting, and she is not aware of any serious problems."

Mary Cooney doesn't think that there are problems?

This is an outrage! A fucking outrage that at this point in time - after 'chads' and recounts, we are still seeing citizens cheated out of their vote. The GOP is a criminal cabal and needs to be stopped at all costs.

Republicans Still Can't Find 380 Tons of Powerful Explosives

Huge Cache of Explosives Vanished Two Years Ago From Site in Iraq: "The Iraqi interim government has warned the United States and international nuclear inspectors that nearly 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives - used to demolish buildings, make missile warheads and detonate nuclear weapons - are missing from one of Iraq's most sensitive former military installations.
The huge facility, called Al Qaqaa, was supposed to be under American military control but is now a no man's land, still picked over by looters as recently as Sunday. United Nations weapons inspectors had monitored the explosives for many years, but White House and Pentagon officials acknowledge that the explosives vanished sometime after the American-led invasion last year.
The White House said President Bush's national security adviser, Condoleezza Rice, was informed within the past month that the explosives were missing."

You can tell Rice that her shoes are on fire and she'll do nothing about it. She has no ideas and has no plans. She reads the sheet music and plays her part.

Lynne Cheney Is A Trolls Mol

The Cheney Era Smells of Rotting Soldiers and Sweaty Closets:

"'Jim Webb is full of baloney. I have never written anything sexually explicit.'

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee sent out a news release listing sexual passages in books by Cheney and other GOP conservatives, including Dick Cheney's former chief of staff I. Lewis 'Scooter' Libby and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

The DSCC said Cheney's books featured brothels and attempted rape.

Though asked by CNN, Cheney did not discuss the imagery included in 'Sisters.'"

"Cheney Has No Opposable Thumbs," say GOP scientists

Ironically, "'Water-Boarding' Is The Only Way To Jump-start His Heart," says Chief Rocket Surgeon: "Larry Cox, executive director of Amnesty International USA, said in a statement, 'What's really a no-brainer is that no U.S. official, much less a vice president, should champion torture. Vice President Cheney's advocacy of water boarding sets a new human rights low at a time when human rights is already scraping the bottom of the Bush administration barrel.'

Human Rights Watch said Cheney's remarks were 'the Bush administration's first clear endorsement' of water boarding."

To see America go down this GOP drain is almost unbearable.

The President's Nuts

Camille Paglia: "I've become concerned about Bush's mental state in the past few months.": "Sometimes in his press conferences or prepared statements (which I listened to on the radio), I heard a sort of Nixonian tension and hysteria. His vocal patterns were over-intense and his inflections impatient, lurching and sarcastic. There was this seething quality to his speech that worried me and that seemed to signal that something major is being planned -- perhaps another military incursion."

She's too clever and bright to dismiss her comments lightly.

Get Thee To A Cybil

No, No, They Can't Take That Away From Me:

"...abortion is still legal. You know why? There would never be another Republican elected to the White House again if they made abortion illegal. People would then have to vote in their own best interest instead of following their asinine religious beliefs. " - Cymbaline, Oct 2006

'Cymbaline' is the online moniker of Lisa Rios, a lady of much character, who will remind you, without doubt, that the last 30 years did actually happen. There are values that were found, nurtured and revered all through the western world during that time and they live - healthfully and without compromise, in the best of us.

You Can't Connect To Liberal Blogs - Because They're Liberal Blogs

STOP ABUSING OUR MARINES! - Wonkette: "“I think that this kind of censoring is a big deal. I can understand blocking porn, music and movies, and blatantly illegal sites, but blocking sites that some higher up just doesn’t agree with is disgusting. They are blocking a huge portion of voters from information that will help them determine which side to vote for. Because of this, the only news we get is from the big corporations or conservative based sites.”"

I don't understand why anyone would want to follow orders from someone they don't respect. General Pace couldn't get me to put the seat down, much less salute him and the lunacy he represents.

Democrats Are Blowing Their Lead

Camille Paglia Has A Very Depressing Message: "So what they've done, in this rabid orchestration of the Foley case, is to risk energizing the Republican base again. Are they mad, or just dumb? They've handed the Republicans a reason to go to the polls -- to register their contempt for Democrats!"

eeek !!

"
Every nudnik out there aspires to be a junior bin Laden. What was needed -- but which may now be impossible -- was to gain the trust of people worldwide at the local level. So that on small islands in Indonesia, let's say, neighbors will turn in the stranger who's gathering followers around him. Without that cooperation, we're never going to defeat world terrorism."

Really interesting thinking.

Cheney Takes Another Salt-embedded Bite Out Of America

Cheney and local GOP page/journalist trade penis measurements: "Vice President Dick Cheney has confirmed that U.S. interrogators subjected captured senior al-Qaida suspects to a controversial interrogation technique called 'water-boarding,' which creates a sensation of drowning.

Cheney indicated that the Bush administration doesn't regard water-boarding as torture and allows the CIA to use it. 'It's a no-brainer for me,' Cheney said at one point in an interview."

...local journalist licks the VP until they both sport wood...

"In the interview on Tuesday, Scott Hennen of WDAY Radio in Fargo, N.D., told Cheney that listeners had asked him to "let the vice president know that if it takes dunking a terrorist in water, we're all for it, if it saves American lives."

"Again, this debate seems a little silly given the threat we face, would you agree?" Hennen said.

"'I do agree,' Cheney replied, according to a transcript of the interview released Wednesday. 'And I think the terrorist threat, for example, with respect to our ability to interrogate high-value detainees like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, that's been a very important tool that we've had to be able to secure the nation.'"

How would Jesus vote?

Harold Ford Has Redesigned The Fight:

"'I serve a big God, he gives me strength every day, and I go to work. I am not that smart. I don't try to outsmart him. I just go to work every day.'"

Ford is being carved by circumstances and may be the first of the 'new people' to visit the main stage.

Rush Is Death With A Microphone

Rush Limbaugh's Offensive Against Michael J. Fox Defines The GOP:

"'He is exaggerating the effects of the disease,' Limbaugh told listeners. 'He's moving all around and shaking and it's purely an act. . . . This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox."

Rush is a rotting hulk, drawing flies like shit on a sidewalk. Rush and his ilksters have no authority over anything and have nothing behind their empty ideas. On death they will neither go to heaven or hell, but will be left to rot on the sidewalk - drawing those flies.

Rush says Michael J. Fox is bullshitting

Can a Republican get anywhere near heaven, or are they fried the second their pulse ceases?

"'I stated when I saw the ad, I was commenting to you about it, that he was either off the medication or he was acting. He is an actor, after all.'"

...gee, what's the doctor say?...

"Dr. Daniel emails:
the chorea that Michael J Fox has in that ad comes from chronic use of dopamine agonists in the context of Parkinson's. They're movements from the medicine, not the disease itself. Although he might have odd movements OFF of his meds, they wouldn't look like the ones in the ad. They'd look like the Parkinson's-like presentation of Muhammed Ali's Dementia Pugilistica.

In addition, those movements are hard to imitate accurately because they stem from circuits between the basal ganglia and cortex that you can't just turn off or on. Those aren't volitional circuits. There is little chance he was acting, and if he was, he could only accentuate slightly movementse already had. In other words, this is as tragic as it looks."

Rush is proof that cowboys fuck horses.

'Killed By Wishful Thinking'

TERROR RULES STREETS AS AMERICAN SOLDIERS DIE FOR A LIE: "It's one thing to ask our soldiers and Marines to die for our national security, but sending them off to die for platitudes is unforgivable.

The government in Baghdad is on the verge of failure. There is no civil war - civil war would be easier to deal with. What we see in the streets is the rule of the gunmen.

We gave them Iraq. Instead of imposing the rule of law, we empowered the lawless.

Responsibility begins, of course, with the Iraqis, who have chosen old hatreds over new possibilities. The next layer of guilt encompasses the Bush administration, which lacked the guts to finish what it started. But the get-Bush-at-any-cost Americans who encouraged our enemies will have the blood of countless innocent Iraqis on their hands.

The left may get its wish: Iraq may fail. Well, congratulations. The men to whom you yearn to give Iraq will make Pol Pot look like Mr. Rogers.

The only blameless participants are our troops. Each new tombstone at Arlington National Cemetery should read: 'Killed By Wishful Thinking.'"

As with Ken Burns' 'Confederate States of America,' the Republican's plan for Iraq "died of a theory."

I Didn't Actually Mean 'Stay The Course'

I Was Just Trying To Say 'Fuck The Liberals' Using My Other Face:

"George Stephanopoulos asked about James Baker’s plan to develop a strategy for Iraq that is “between ’stay the course’ and ‘cut and run.’”

Bush responded, ‘We’ve never been stay the course, George!’"

...Oh really. Gee, what about...

"BUSH: We will stay the course. [8/30/06]

BUSH: We will stay the course, we will complete the job in Iraq. [8/4/05]

BUSH: We will stay the course until the job is done, Steve. And the temptation is to try to get the President or somebody to put a timetable on the definition of getting the job done. We’re just going to stay the course. [12/15/03]

BUSH: And my message today to those in Iraq is: We’ll stay the course. [4/13/04]

BUSH: And that’s why we’re going to stay the course in Iraq. And that’s why when we say something in Iraq, we’re going to do it. [4/16/04]

BUSH: And so we’ve got tough action in Iraq. But we will stay the course. [4/5/04]"

That about covers that.

Germany's Schroeder: Bush Is A Phoney

"If He's For Real, I'm A Four-Hole Buick," yells Sunday-School Teacher: "'What bothered me, and in a certain way made me suspicious despite the relaxed atmosphere, was again and again in our discussions how much this president described himself as 'God-fearing,'' Schroeder wrote, adding he is a firm believer in the separation of church and state.

Schroeder accused some elements in U.S. as being hypocritical when it comes to secularism in government.

'We rightly criticize that in most Islamic states, the role of religion for society and the character of the rule of law are not clearly separated,' Schroeder wrote. 'But we fail to recognize that in the USA, the Christian fundamentalists and their interpretation of the Bible have similar tendencies.'"

For Why The Chimp Cackles

Rove Jumps Into W's Lap And Plants A Fatty - "I Did The Math, Boss ! We Win !":

Barrons Magazine: "Our analysis -- based on a race-by-race examination of campaign-finance data -- suggests that the GOP will hang on to both chambers, at least nominally. We expect the Republican majority in the House to fall by eight seats, to 224 of the chamber's 435. At the very worst, our analysis suggests, the party's loss could be as large as 14 seats, leaving a one-seat majority. But that is still a far cry from the 20-seat loss some are predicting. In the Senate, with 100 seats, we see the GOP winding up with 52, down three."

It's Sunday October 22nd and I heard the huge political machine come to a stop - a big, deep cachunk!, then a momentary, painful silence until the hulking, cranking machinery began - incredibly, to move in the opposite direction.

Embarrassed (or should be) GOP Lawmaker Wants To Shutter CNN

Lawmaker Outraged by Sniper Footage on CNN: "CNN has become 'the publicist for an enemy propaganda film' by broadcasting a video showing an insurgent sniper in Iraq apparently killing an American soldier, the chairman of the House Armed Services Committee said here Friday.

Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-El Cajon) called for the Pentagon to oust any CNN reporter embedded with U.S. troops in Iraq.

'I think Americans like to think we're all in this together,' Hunter said. 'The average American Marine or soldier has concluded after seeing that film that CNN is not on their side.'

CNN said it broadcast the brief video to show the threat that insurgent snipers posed to U.S. troops.

'Whether or not you agree with us in this case, our goal, as always, is to present the unvarnished truth as best we can,' CNN producer David Doss wrote in a blog on the network's website."

"But if you see the sniper footage," says the unexamined nutcase, "you'd see Americans losing!!" I don't know about that, but it sure shows Americans hurting without halt while we at home look on as Cheney goes hunting, while Condi reads the music and plays her part, and while we carry on as best we can, unable to not watch the Chimp cacklin' as our culture floats out to sea.

Corporate/Conservative Control of California's Elections Is A Done Deal

The Only Reason Not To Strangle Right-Wing Republicans Is Because It's Illegal:

"A new analysis by FTCR finds that one out of every 4 dollars spent on political ads in California comes from 10 rich corporations."

Next time some Rightie tries to sell you the concept of the vote being skewed by "union money" tell them to eat shit. This link shows exactly from whom the money comes - and how much.
