HuffPo comment by Mysundown25 - "I am in my mid-twenties, i attended a public university, had a gpa of 3.5, was on a division 1 track team and also held part time jobs throughout college. i am fortunate to have a "full time" job, but the taxes and the cost of "medical benefits" (which i need because i am diabetic) cuts my check down to an embarrassing amount. i budget myself extremely carefully, pay my loans and bills on time. i don't want a hand out, i just want to be paid at a rate that i can live without worrying what i will do if something bad happens since i live paycheck to paycheck with no savings account."
Reply from Truenginhearing - "You're right - it's not good out there. The paramount concern must be to return as much 'security' to the entire social proposition as possible, because the current, increasing loss of this, and the erosion of trust in America's important institutions, destroys the confidence needed for a consumer, market-driven economy to even exist - people don't spend when they're scared...
It's an emergency! As a progressive I firmly believe that these things have to be addressed in order for younger folks like yourself to feel confident in your potential for a good life - with hope and opportunity, and a real chance for success in achieving your goals. Best of luck! "
