What bothers me about the endless misconstruing and furious hand-ringing is the complete absence of the common sense knowledge that people who don't want that laundry-list of things to happen - which includes the supporters of both the gay and straight viewpoints - won't let them happen. It's really that simple. But the Tanya Dittys of the red-state world are claiming a free ride with arguments about creatures that don't exist, and things that never happen.
