Austerity creates austerity, ripling with wrenching contractions, and draining the expansive nature of citizens, thereby emptying stores and truncating the commerce needed to avoid the siren call of idealogical doomsters selling what can only end up a disaster for all Americans trying to head into the wind and get to the prized middle-class sanctuary of optimism and inclusiveness. The GOP is ready and able to hurt America with bad ideas - and has the power to foist them on us all.
