Now that the Exxon service station is a person, and since oodles of noisy, sub-wise business owners now feel compelled to announce their every bias and tell us all who they financially support and who they love and hate, everyday shopping has become a critical political choice of what do I want tomorrow to look like - blue skies or red weather. The worst part is that it seems inevitable - and unavoidable - and pre-war.
