No, it costs $1.40 to buy a product that may or may not be dangerous. You pay $40.00 to never have to worry about it. I went through 3 cheap duds before the genius asked, "having fun saving money?" Sure, 40 seems outrageous, but so is cheap crap from Amazon, which continues to allow bad products to be advertised as "Apple", and which are most assuredly not.
