The Exciting World Of Justice, Egomania And Fundamentalism: "City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo's complaints of a two-tiered jail system where 'the rich and powerful receive special treatment' have come to back to haunt him.
Soon after Hilton was sent back to jail earlier this month, he acknowledged his wife had committed a similar infraction - driving with a suspended license. Among other things, he also admitted sticking the taxpayers with the bill after his wife crashed his city-issued car in 2004, and acknowledged that staffers have occasionally run personal errands and baby-sat his children."
...this guy should get lowered a number of pegs.
"A spokesman for Delgadillo confirmed that staff members have tended to some family and personal needs, but on their own time or during lunch breaks."
And of course, there was no pressure to do these off-the-clock 'favors' for their boss.
The small judge that sentenced Paris, and the transparent bully prosecutor that tried to propel his career by using her, are two weak streams that do not make a mighty river. They are merely, as Mencken noted, filled with "the impulse to punish the man with the superior capacity for happiness."
I can understand some folks having a problem accepting Paris Hilton's public persona, but I am not one of them. I have been charmed for a long time by her beauty and her escapades, never once thinking of her as anything but captivating and filled with a grand human spirit.
