I have an acquaintance, name of Schein, who goes totally apoplectic if someone makes the simple mistake of saying 'sheen' - it's like some unsettled medieval snit with him! With my own name, it can be spelled with either one 'L' or two, and it's been screwing with my production credits for years, as people - including family members - seem to spell it as they see fit at the moment. And on the web, I need 2 separate home pages...
