I am an ardent fan of Candy Crowley's genuine excellence as an on-air journalist. She doesn't pretend she has no personal opinions, but she places them on the shelf - proudly unhidden, but without a role in the job she does for the viewers. Like Bob Schieffer, and other great professionals, she knows this is not a game to be won. She's the real deal.
