...well, it does sound that way, but the only thing we can really know is that her experience of life is still all she gets, and the unhappiness was real, and her pain was actually felt.
It is truly humbling to know that within the other person is an entire, unique universe we know nothing about - yet nevertheless we form opinions from our ignorance and throw them like darts.
