"Overreacted" doesn't quite describe it. What he actually did was take years of precious freedom away from decent citizens who will never get them back. What he did was far worse than anything done by a guy snorting a line of coke at a party or smoking weed in a park. Here's the chase - he's one of the bad guys. He either lied to himself, or to us, but in either scenario, people were forced to suffer in jail who should not have suffered in jail.
