...the apostles walked all over the place spreading christianity, but that doesn't make walking a religious endeavor. Did you ever sit around a campfire with your legs folded 'indian style'? Did it make you chant, whoop and holler, and want to kill a buffalo for the 'great chief'? I doubt it.
Although the world is full of guys like Broyles, luckily it's full of the rest of us too, and we demand that human reason be allowed to compete and trump the mumbo-jumbo of the frightened and unrelenting haters.
