A lot of people assume that this guy is just a visual promise of the good old days of McCarthy. I think it is, and we need to recognize that his "look type" gives him about 30% of the conservative vote automatically; without any other action on his part. If he can continue to fuel and articulate bagger anger, by insult and falsehoods - as he seems to be able to do effortlessly, he will get the guts of the republican party, and the bile of the deep-dish, red-meat right. If anything can wipe out the middle-class American gains of the 20th century, it will come from this quarter...
