An explanation isn't an excuse - at least in the cogent world. I happen to have always been a fan of Brown - he's unique as a man, and as a politician he lives within shouting range of a Gracchus, or the tribunes of old. He is one the most successful politicians of our era and nobody; I mean nobody, has been a greater governor for California in my lifetime.
Wanna impress your fiends, and do your reputation a favor - forget what the repubs say - the definition of 'moonbeam' is somebody who wants the highest virtues of mankind to be the art of conducting daily life.
