Park Service Can't Give Official Age Of Grand Canyon For Fear Of Offending Creationists

"Masturbation Is Killing Half The Unborn Babies In America !" screams new GOP slogan in sick ploy to divert Pages to fornication and sodomy, in addition to this recent news: "Due to pressure from Bush Administration officials, the National Park Service is not permitted to give an official age for the Grand Canyon. Additionally, a book claiming the Grand Canyon was created by Noah's flood is for sale at the National Park's bookstore.

The sale of Grand Canyon: A Different View was scheduled for review over three years ago, but no such review has been schedule or even requested. The creationist book was the only item approved for sale in 2003 (22 other items were rejected)...

A Good Man

Former President Gerald Ford dies at 93: "Ford was a high school senior when he met his biological father. He was working in a Greek restaurant, he recalled, when a man came in and stood watching.
'Finally, he walked over and said, 'I'm your father,'' Ford said. 'Well, that was quite a shock.' But he wrote in his memoir that he broke down and cried that night and he was left with the image of 'a carefree, well-to-do man who didn't really give a damn about the hopes and dreams of his firstborn son.' "

Such loss.

The Only Freedom Left Is In Your Skull

Courts Are Cracking the Wall of Protection and Bloggers and Websites Will Go Down: "Robert Cox, founder and president of the Media Bloggers Association, which has 1,000 members, says the recent wave of lawsuits means that bloggers should bone up on libel law. 'It hasn't happened yet, but soon, there will be a blogger who is successfully sued and who loses his home,' he says. 'That will be the shot heard round the blogosphere.'"...

...the 1996 Communications Decency Act provides that "individuals who post messages are responsible for their content and can be sued for libel. That applies whether they are posting on their own website or on others' message boards."

That's MISTER Phill to you, chum. You drop the MISTER and I'll sue your ass till it calls a cab and books outta here !

Bush Needs To Be Jailed

GOP Senator Smith Smells The Fish: "'I, for one, am at the end of my rope when it comes to supporting a policy that has our soldiers patrolling the same streets in the same way, being blown up by the same bombs day after day. That is absurd. It may even be criminal,' declared Sen. Gordon Smith (R-OR), a 10-year veteran of the Senate, in a speech last night."

Capitalism in Suppository Form

Crooked Curriculum: Oil Company Money Scandal at Nat'l Science Teachers Association Deepens: "New evidence flatly contradicts statements NSTA has made in defense of its suspect partnerships, and efforts appear to be underway to wipe out online evidence showing that what the oil industry got in exchange was the group's imprimatur on classroom videos, teaching guides, and other 'educational' materials that play down threats like global warming and play up the glories of continued oil dependence.

We also learned that NSTA is willing to sell direct access to America's schoolteachers to any Tom, Dick or Exxon that shows up with a checkbook.

And here's the icing on the cake: NSTA Executive Director Dr. Gerry Wheeler - a top figure in the world of science education, remember - confessed to at least one reporter this week that he hadn't actually bothered to see the acclaimed film before he turned it down."

When the hellions are singing your song, that means you have no power over them any longer.
