Netgear CEO: Apple Doomed Because Of Closed Platform, Jobs' 'Ego'

Huh?. Nobody ever quotes Papa John... I remember him on the steamer S.S. Catalina on the way to Avalon - a starship in the night - at the very beginning of the sixties, pouring out the fiddle music, with that special quixotic smile, moving with grace in his stiff, yet elastic frame.

Netgear CEO: Apple Doomed Because Of Closed Platform, Jobs' 'Ego'

Jobs, on the other hand, proceeds with his 'egotistical' ways knowing that though the dogs may bark, the caravan continues on its way. Now Jobs is a Godzillionaire Apple stockholder and most of his detractors don't have enough stock to make soup.

Jack Kingston: 'I Came From God Not From A Monkey' (VIDEO)

The GOP evidently believes that there are way too many theories; plus they're all bogus. There's Newton's theory of 'Universal Gravitation', Einstein's 'Theory of Relativity', Darwin's notorious 'Theory of Evolution' - and in his Civil War documentary, Ken Burns' even double-dips with his theory that the Confederate south "died of a theory". The American right has had enough and has decided that theories are nothing but ungodly guesses, and not worth squat.

So now a great swath of the American people believe that the 'Theory of Relativity' is total bunk. If they are correct, then the atom bomb couldn't have destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but if they're wrong, then they're wack-jobs with tin hats. Let's check and see what actually happened...

Money and gods...

Nigel Barber: Why Americans Are More Religious Than Europeans: "Religion declines with economic development... People who feel secure in this world have less interest in another one."

Yup, that's how it works alright. Offering religion to people, as a way to expect better times ahead, means the wealthy can both keep wealth to themselves and divert responsibility for security and happiness to the gods.

The King's Speech: good movie, very bad history. - By Christopher Hitchens - Slate Magazine#p2#p2: "In a few months, the British royal family will be yet again rebranded and relaunched in the panoply of a wedding. Terms like 'national unity' and 'people's monarchy' will be freely flung around. Almost the entire moral capital of this rather odd little German dynasty is invested in the post-fabricated myth of its participation in 'Britain's finest hour.' In fact, had it been up to them, the finest hour would never have taken place. So this is not a detail but a major desecration of the historical record—now apparently gliding unopposed toward a baptism by Oscar."
