Allen West Unloads On Debbie Wasserman Schultz Again

He is so lost. And how pathetic he appears as he slogs along, trying every way possible to not take back his ridiculous, nearly incoherent attack on Wasserman-Schultz.

What I want to see is who the heck these people are that support him - what do they see in a guy who would say what he says, and would do what he did in the military?

Kansas Abortion Insurance Law: Judge Refuses To Block Controversial Law

I am always both amazed and repulsed by the actions of those who want women - regardless the circumstance - forced to carry pregnancies to term. On the rare occasions when I found one of these people talking to a kid of mine, I reacted ferociously and inelegantly, and they never came around again...

Clarence Thomas Should Be Investigated For Nondisclosure, Democratic Lawmakers Say

The GOP/Tea-Party that adores Clarence Thomas especially loves that his confused historical status makes him virtually immune from almost all scrutiny, but I'm not issuing a pass this time. I don't have a sacred cow - they all taste the same to me.

And this time Thomas's actions are just too blatant...

Burning Man 2011

Bill Camenga:

Holy schnike ! You gotta have been on a major sensory high for days.

The fact that the event even exists is wonderfully nuts; beyond Wringling and Buffalo Bill - or even Disney, who could never have wrangled these droves of unabashed individualists who want to conceive of and create phenomena on all scales - even if only for a few moments in time, and just for the joy of doing it.

Combine all of this energy with 'flash mob' technology and soon we might see marauding bands of choreographed progressives, semi-unemployed and emersed in constant production of ephemeral, road-ready concotions.

There are tons of terrific YouTube videos. I'm getting a real good hit on all this...

"between 1979 and 2005 the inflation-adjusted income of families in the middle of the income distribution rose 21 percent. That’s growth, but it’s slow, especially compared with the 100 percent rise in median income over a generation after World War II.

Meanwhile, over the same period, the income of the very rich, the top 100th of 1 percent of the income distribution, rose by 480 percent. No, that isn’t a misprint. In 2005 dollars, the average annual income of that group rose from $4.2 million to $24.3 million."
