Geraldo Rivera Trayvon Martin Parents Interview: Fox News Host Asks Tracy Martin, Sybrina Fulton To 'Accept My Condolences'


Wouldn't it be swell if the hoodie were actually the cause of the problem - drop the hoodie and young African-American teenage life would experience nothing more negative than a mild breeze every once in awhile on the road to law school.



But we can drop that nonsense right now. A young African-American black man, growing up in the wrong neighborhood, lives in a "perfect storm" all the time - at any moment, 'being black' can link up with 'being near a convenience store', which can link up with 'wearing a hoodie', which can scream being 'alive on the street' - all commanding that the scene be filled with nothing less than on-coming sirens, plastic cuffs, and a big van. In a couple of months you'll be convicted, broke, bitter, on probation, and out of law school.
