But either way, let's all be thankful that Uber Creepy outgoing Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Peter Pace will hand over the 'Spear of Destiny' to a new guy:
In February, , Navy Adm. Mike Mullen, a Vietnam War veteran - and current nominee to become new Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman, spoke to sailors stationed at Pearl Harbor:
" 'I honestly believe this is the most dangerous time in my life.'
'The enemy now is basically evil and fundamentally hates everything we are — the democratic principles for which we stand … This war is going to go on for a long time. It’s a generational war.' ”
It is the wisest observation that evil, not people, is the enemy. I am choosing to believe that this is what Admiral Mullen means to say.
