“unfortunately i do not have a link to give you, but i've always felt that way...even with missionary parents:) i believe that the concept of morality came about bc it made the average person easier to control and more predictable...it's no different to me than law...there are many laws i disagree with..not only that but morality describes societal conventions and personal preference...each society has its list of rights and wrongs...china can control how many children you have no matter your finacial situaltion...some people would say that's a sin, and others would say that it helps to keep the society healthy and happy...just a short time ago it was considered moral to keep slaves...now it's considered HORRIBLE...screw that...make your own life...right and wrong is subject to the opinions of others, but it doesn;t need to control what you do or feel...morality changes depending on your vantage point and past experiences...how many laws are there in the usa that apply to some but not all...think about all of the things that presidents, politicians, celebrities, and others get away with that the average person would be punished for...why? bc it all depends on who and what you are...so why bother going along with a convention so fraught with hypocrasy, innconsistancy? do your thing...unappologetically...and deal with the consequences of your choices...morality is a question of opinion..it isn't an absolute...what are your thoughts?”
