I cannot see any way in which democracy survives in any recognizab­le form in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling in 'Citizens United'.



There is no Kevlar thick enough to protect the average citizen against the political weaponry available to multi-bill­ionaires. From all sides - psychologi­cal, political and economic - the average citizen will be pummeled and beaten until the only vote left will be for more pain, or a lot more pain.
