I think Robert Reich continues to have the best understanding of what is going in the economy - and what is driving it in the wrong direction.
I am so tired of the long-standing, tortured argument from conservatives about the "real" cause of ending the great depression - WW2. These boneheads would rather drown in booze than admit that WW2 was THE spending program of all time, shoving money through the economy and oiling all its parts. This mechanism is a template for building a ramp out of the economic swamp.
We must recognize the danger we're in for what it is, and how our survival depends on being smart - as well as lucky.
