I hate what is happening to my country and my fellow citizens. It feels like the end of America. I used to wonder how it felt for the Romans when their culture collapsed, and everything they believed and loved fell away and they were left with nothing - except a lot of medieval a-holes, who shoved them around for the next 1000 years. I sure hope the cliché is wrong and that history doesn't really repeat itself.
