How do conservati­ves win boomer votes in 2012? They are trying to help states avoid their legal promise to retirees and those approachin­g retirement­, and they are jonesin' to rip the security out of Social Security and reduce the care in Medicare.



These are toxic plays in a very dangerous game, and here's the score so far: the GOP made absolutely sure that the rich are going to get their taxes cut, and the rest of us are going to get our benefits cut.
