Why I Don't Support Our Troop Leader

Nobody - not even the most pale-faced indoor liberal expected the gigantic debacle of Bush's federal response to the Katrina disaster. For almost everyone who watched in horror as the crises metastasized before our eyes on television screens everywhere, the man who is President was seen to be completely unprepared and stupefyingly incompetent in providing for the safety of Americans during a crises. The ramifications and implications were felt by all American parents as they looked at each other across the dinner table and as they lay awake in the wee hours of the morning worrying for their families and wondering where they can now put their trust.

Bush and Company have pushed the entire region of the Mid-East into embracing Western democracy and now it is clear that, thanks to Bush wisdom, the most ugly aspects of Arab fundamentalism will prevail in the elections in almost every country in the region.

George W. Bush has sent 2000 men and women to their death based on false information and the most flawed and stupid war plan ever concocted by adults. He disbanded the Iraqi army and now has nobody to turn the country over to so Americans can stop dying and come home. He tells Americans that our Constitution and our democracy are special, sacred elements of our national success and that these qualities would be advantageous for any nation. After railing time and again that the United Nations is not capable of acting credibly or with the values that are important to Americans, he then turns around and suggests that the U.N. be the entity to create a new constitution for Iraq because "they are good at that sort of thing." Is it any wonder that our supposed allies within the Iraqi expatriates publicly humiliated our President by admitting that they lied to him about the pre-war Iraqi situation in order to get him to go to war against Saddam Hussein?

The Bush revamp of senior's drug coverage is a stupendous travesty of what a caring government can do. It is a botched endeavor that is currently scaring hundreds of thousands of Americans as they try to navigate the tortured logic of this "crazy money-making" privatization of one of the nation's most important federal programs - with consequences deep into the families of America. It is a cash-raising scheme by the healthcare industry that is well-known to be more costly than that which it replaces. But no matter, because the Bush mentality says that the Unites States government has no business helping with healthcare in the first place.

The American voter did not want Bush to be President. We know it; he knows it. Nonetheless, on becoming President in 2001, he embarked on a right-wing course of action in almost every area of government under his influence. Acting without an iota of respect for the desires of the voting people of America is not the action of a decent man.

"Dead or Alive", said the President. "Mission Accomplished", said the sign. "Stay the course", said the man with yet another wound on his face. "I choked on a pretzel and fell on the floor", said the fallen leader as he explained still yet another face wound.

What kind of American am I? What kind of American are you? What kind of American is George W. Bush?

There is no argument available that can successfully deny that Bush is a crook, a liar, a fraud, and an incomplete man.

I want Bush impeached and then put on trial. And then I want to grab a broom and help sweep these germs out of our life.

Long live my country !
