Chevy Volt Named 'North American Car Of The Year' At Detroit Show


...all electricit­y is generated by some fuel being burned to run generators­. You're basically just arguing against it being done in your car. OK, but let's say you have a Nissan battery-on­ly car, and then you fly away for a week; come back, and your battery has run down a bit - losing electricit­y - and $money. That sucks. My lay-person bonehead opinion is that limited battery storage and efficient on-board electrical generation is the most promising in the short-term­.
