Law To Make Social Networks Private By Default Worries Facebook


I'm not interested in lay person Ellen Corbett's approach, but I am in sync with the goal - meaningful control over individual personal privacy. She is too much the sophomore on this topic to interest me in her conclusion­s. She needs to get with the tech giants and the ethicists and put together a mindset we can understand­. Facebook proponents are right - and she's wrong. Privacy and control are part of the core equation, but the techno revolution and the culture it is spawning also needs protection from poor thinking - or we all lose something.
