Arggg! Check the polls and it'll make you sick how many people - a majority! - are OK with deep-sea drilling no matter what upchucks on what or no matter how big a hole we punch in the earth's crust, as long as they can guzzle all the gas they want.
Pat Buchanan said moments ago on TV, "you can't run cars on wind power." Yes, you can, but cliché righties like Pat and Palin and Boehner live in mental pup tents and rarely come out for light or air or facts.
It has always made me uneasy to know that nobody from the future has ever come back to cheer us on - or to confirm that there even is a future. Maybe the future never happened because we effed things up beyond all recognition by digging a hole we couldn't get out of.
