...not so fast, slick. I think you're wrong; the law is not necessarily Mel's BFF. If there is "reasonable inference of a criminal threat" in the conversation, or if the calls qualify as "annoying phone calls", they may very well be admitted. But the real damage to Gibson is obviously that they are already on the record - in the brains of everyone with a pulse.
