We're the historians - we have no choice. We are all totally into the past because mankind's main gig is learning about the history of everything and everyone - we write it down in instruction manuals, and bibles; we put it in stories, sing it in songs, write it on the men's room wall, and we keep some in our memory. We are the 'knowers' - it's our signal achievement, though the jury seems to be out on whether or not we will ever know enough to get us safely through eternity.
