I've always had a friendly relationship with the term "gay" - ever since I was a kid and "Bringing Up Baby" became my favorite screwball comedy. Explaining why he's wearing a woman's robe, Cary Grant's hilarious response, "I don't know, I just went 'gay' all of a sudden!" has always seemed delightfully smart and charming. If that's offensive to Cooper; I'm sorry he's so bunched - a better understanding of, and respect for 'intent' usually fixes that; it did for me.
