Lower Merion School District Settles Webcam Spying Lawsuits For $610,000


For me, the big surprise in this case has been the local citizens response to this very significant breach of the social order. That the authorities failed to bring charges seems ridiculous. For this case to have meaning, it should result in other districts, businesses, and individuals worrying about jail, large fines, and privacy lawsuits. Not gonna happen - to save some butts, and taxpayer's money, they have decided that it's best to let it slide. Lower Merion just slid lower, and it's a shame.
