'Right To Be Forgotten': Online Privacy Legislation Proposed By European Commission


The 'right to be forgotten'­... way too convenient for bad guys everywhere­.



Among other concerns, I agree with zillions of historians who argue that "valuable informatio­n that forms part of the historical record could be lost under the legislatio­n." To say nothing of that sinking sensation for someone suddenly finding that they married a Manson girl 20 years ago!



Maybe they'd be more helpful writing some "Wish I Hadn't Done It" prayers and painting them on high school cafeteria walls. In any case, there's got to be something better than trying to pretend reality didn't happen...
