I always appreciate Michael's quality thinking, and the care he puts into his well reasoned insights.
The preparations for the "news" programs, as described by Smerconish, show yet another once important profession evolving to a corrupted, predatory, money-mining machine. What goes on in the headphones is perhaps even more repulsive, as producers urge the guests to even higher levels of confrontation - for its own sake.
I don't see how we can avoid all of this ending quite badly.
