Upside Down: Why Millennials Can't Start Their Careers And Baby Boomers Can't End Theirs
This bit of boiler-plate ignorance cannot be allowed to be a part of the argument: "After all, as life expectancies lengthen, the U.S. can’t afford its social-safety net without extending the retirement age." This misleading misinformation on life expectancy seems to be stuck in the craw of hordes of otherwise good thinkers. It is very, very dangerous; it will cause us to make terrible mistakes in dealing with retirement and aging.
The issue is how many years someone will live who reaches the age of 65; not life expectancy from birth. Read the Article at HuffingtonPost
